About the School
Dwight-Englewood School (D-E) is a coeducational, independent college preparatory day school of approximately 1015 students, serving Preschool (age 3) through Grade 12. D-E is the product of three (3) merged schools, the oldest of which was founded in 1889. The School is one of the most ethnically diverse in Bergen County, and students represent over 115 different zip codes in New Jersey and New York. More than 6 million dollars of the Dwight-Englewood budget is devoted to financial aid. The excellence of a Dwight-Englewood education rests firmly upon the foundation of the faculty. The faculty are experienced, passionate, and as dedicated to ongoing learning as the students. Dwight-Englewood is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools.

About the Position
The Director of Enrollment Management reports to the Head of School and is responsible for recruitment and outreach strategy, the admission process from inquiry through enrollment, and retention management including the reenrollment process. S/he manages the admission team, consisting of three divisional Directors of Admission, an Admissions and Financial Aid Coordinator, and an Enrollment Office Manager, and collaborates closely with the Communications and Publications team, Director of Development, Head of School, and other members of the Leadership Team to ensure that the school meets both short-term and long-term enrollment goals with mission-aligned students who will benefit from and contribute to the D-E community.
The successful candidate will be an experienced admission and financial aid officer with a strong work ethic, ideally with experience in PK-12 admission, with a demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and a desire to be a part of a community that values difference and engages with it. S/he will be a collaborative team member and a skilled, strategic, goal-oriented manager with a growth mindset, comfortable with using data to set goals, make decisions, and evaluate progress. An excellent communicator and skilled story teller with strong writing skills, her/his warmth, humanity, and sense of humor will be equally evident in intimate settings and when addressing large groups. His/her empathy and honesty will enable him/her to deliver even difficult news in a caring and supportive manner. Finally, familiarity with admission office and financial aid software platforms will be important. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, and an advanced degree would be a plus.
