About the School
Founded in 1936 when North Shore Country Day School, housed in the historic Winslow Building, merged with the Shore School of Beverly Farms, Shore Country Day School today is a vibrant learning community of 400 day students in Pre-K through grade 9 located on a spectacular 17 acre campus in Beverly, Massachusetts. The school draws students from over 40 communities in Boston’s North Shore region.

About the Position
Shore Country Day School is in an exceptionally strong position. Shore seeks an interim Head of School for the 2023-2024 year who can build on the progress of the past few years to position the school well for the arrival of a new long-term head in July of 2024. An experienced, warm, and personable K-8 or K-12 independent school leader and superb communicator, the interim Head will be expected to continue the significant momentum of the past several years with respect to strategic goals and other initiatives. With several senior administrators new to the school or to their roles, coaching and mentoring will be a significant expectation as well. Finally, with a new strategic plan on the horizon, the interim Head will be expected to support the critically important areas of enrollment and advancement.
