Educators Collaborative is pleased to be assisting Children’s Academy in their search for an Associate Head – Middle/Upper School to begin July 1, 2025.
About the School
Founded in 2009, Children’s Academy is an integrated, multidisciplinary K-12 school that educates students with speech and language challenges and learning differences in an expansive social environment, through a collaborative evidence-based model recognizing the individuality of each child. They meet students where they are and strive to understand their unique strengths, needs, and aspirations, and individualize how to support them.
With a low student-to-teacher ratio (6:2:1) and a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist in every classroom, Children’s Academy ensures that meaningful, therapeutic language assistance and occupational therapy are integrated throughout the day no matter the class. A hallmark of their approach is grouping students into the same skill-based levels for their academic subjects, which allows staff to meet each student where they are, challenge them, and ensure each student learns at an appropriate pace.

With Manhattan as their canvas, their language based learning model focuses on establishing the basis for educational and social development. The comprehensive and immersive curriculums ensure students achieve their own academic success. At Children’s Academy, school isn’t just about academics. Having friends, building confidence, and taking risks are important life skills. Children’s Academy takes a holistic approach to ensure they are developing happy confident students who are prepared for life both in and out of the classroom.
