Logos School, a mission-driven independent school in St. Louis, Missouri, seeks an inspiring, relational, and courageous Head of School to begin July 1, 2027.
Serving approximately 95–110 students in grades 6–12, Logos offers a highly specialized educational experience for adolescents from diverse therapeutic, academic, and economic backgrounds. With an intentionally small 6:1 student-to-staff ratio, Logos provides an innovative integration of individualized academics, individual and group therapy, and active parental involvement.
For hundreds of students, Logos has been more than a school—it has been a lifeline.
Mission
Logos School provides a lifeline to students through a transformative, personalized therapeutic and academic program, fostering a path to hope and success.
At Logos, educators believe that hope is possible and success is achievable for every child. The school operates on an 11-month academic calendar with open enrollment, creating flexibility and continuity for students who often arrive mid-journey.
Students at Logos are given the opportunity to reset, rebuild, and re-engage with both learning and life. The school’s therapeutic-academic model allows adolescents to transform themselves, rediscover confidence, and reignite their enthusiasm for growth.
The Opportunity
The next Head of School will steward a deeply meaningful mission at a pivotal time. This leader will:
- Champion and articulate the school’s therapeutic-academic model
- Ensure excellence and alignment in academics, counseling, and family partnership
- Lead, inspire, and support a dedicated faculty and clinical team
- Strengthen community visibility and engagement in the St. Louis region
- Partner closely with the Board to ensure long-term sustainability
- Safeguard the culture that makes Logos distinctive—where every student is known, supported, and challenged

The Ideal Candidate
Logos seeks a leader who brings:
- Experience in educational leadership (independent, public, therapeutic, or mission-aligned settings)
- Deep commitment to social–emotional development and student well-being
- Capacity to lead interdisciplinary teams of educators and therapists
- Emotional intelligence, steadiness, and relational depth
- Strategic and operational acumen
- A visible belief that “every day is a new day” for students and adults alike
Experience in schools serving neurodiverse learners or students with complex academic or social–emotional profiles is particularly valued.
