This is an extraordinary opportunity to lead one of the Philadelphia region’s most respected Catholic schools for young women at a pivotal and promising moment in the school’s history.
About the School
Founded in 1884 by the Sisters of Mercy and located on Philadelphia’s historic Main Line, Merion Mercy Academy is a thriving Catholic college-preparatory school serving approximately 455 students in grades 9–12. Rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition and animated by the Mercy charism, the school is known for its academic excellence, spiritual formation, leadership development, and deeply relational community grounded in belonging, service, and respect for the dignity of every person.
Merion Mercy has experienced significant momentum in recent years, including sustained enrollment growth, renewed financial stability, expanded academic opportunities, and increasing visibility within the region’s competitive educational landscape. The next President will have the opportunity to help guide the school through an important period of organizational evolution as the recently implemented President/Principal model continues to develop, work that will require strong partnership, disciplined communication, strategic leadership, and deep commitment to mission.
