Educators Collaborative is pleased to assist Ravenscroft in its search for a Head of Upper School to begin July 2027.

About the School

Ravenscroft School, a premier PreK–12 independent school of 1,260 students in North Carolina’s Research Triangle, seeks a Head of Upper School to lead its 480-student Upper School beginning July 2027. Guided by its mission to nurture individual potential and prepare students to thrive in a complex and interdependent world, Ravenscroft is entering an exciting period of development and evolution grounded in a new strategic vision.

Ravenscroft’s Upper School builds from considerable strength: talented and committed faculty, an ambitious academic program, extensive opportunities in the arts, athletics, leadership, and extracurricular life, and a community deeply invested in student growth. The opportunity for the next Head of Upper School is not to reinvent that experience, but to bring even greater coherence, consistency and intentionality to it.

Community feedback points to opportunities to strengthen alignment across the academic program; establish clear and consistently applied expectations for student behavior, integrity and responsible independence; and ensure that the breadth of opportunities available to students is matched by an equally strong experience of belonging and well-being. The next Head of Upper School will also have an opportunity to build trust through visible leadership, clear communication, and meaningful partnership with students, families and faculty.

At its best, Ravenscroft combines academic challenge with strong relationships and extraordinary opportunity. The next Head of Upper School will be charged with helping the division realize that promise more consistently for every student—preserving the breadth and ambition that distinguish the School while creating a coherent, joyful, accountable and deeply student-centered Upper School culture.
