Keystone Academy of Beijing

Keystone Academy of Beijing seeks outstanding candidates for several key administrative positions, starting as early as July 1, 2012, and others in January or July of 2013:

Primary School Principal

Middle School Principal

Dean of Academic Life

Dean of Students

Dean of Admission

Led by Keystone Academy President, Dr. Ed Shanahan, former Headmaster at Choate Rosemary Hall, Keystone Academy will open doors Fall 2014, welcoming an initial school community in grades 1-9, with plans to grow to grades 1-12 by Fall 2017.

The school seeks high-energy, experienced professionals to serve as the school leadership team, starting with an initial full year of planning, staffing, and programming in 2013-2014 (and possibly in 2012-2013). In the school’s inaugural year of 2014-2015, these individuals will be central leadership figures — pioneers in a school that promises a world-class education led by world-class instructors.

Mission

Keystone Academy of Beijing provides a world-class, liberal arts and sciences education to prepare young Chinese students, grades 1 through 12, for success in life as well as for admission to the finest colleges and universities in the United States and elsewhere. It aspires to do that by blending the best curricular and pedagogical elements of the most effective and compelling university preparatory schools in the world; and by creating an educational and residential community, for students and faculty alike, that helps students shape their character in community with others. Students will graduate from Keystone not only with a world-class formal education, and depth of appreciation for their own language, history and culture; but also an understanding and appreciation for the cultures of others; and a commitment to making important and lasting contributions to society and to the welfare of others while at Keystone and after.
